Which sounds better?
An example: DRM (Digital Rights Management - copy protection on media files, CDs or DVDs).
The Deutsche Grammophon has just opened an online store for classical music. All its files are super high CD quality MP3s. That is t o be expected from this prestigious label.
Here is the killer, though: All files can be downloaded without inbuilt DRM.
Purchase, download, copy, download again, transfer.
The business model takes into account that some (few) customers may abuse the system. However, in its basic approach, DG has decided to trust its customers.
The customer experience itself is liberated, simple and transparent. No worries about losing a file, an access code or other special device. The trust element is worth the slightly higher price (which also reflects the high sound quality).
Guess where, from now on, I will go first to purchase my classical music?
